Highlander Orientation for Transfers

Before You Register

Due to the limited number of space in each session, you must register online for Highlander Orientation for Transfers. Registration is done on a "first-come, first-served" basis and space in each session is limited. Registering early will give you the best choice of session dates.

Before you begin the registration process, you will need to have the following information:

1. Your UCR NetID and password. If you don't know your NetID and password, go to your MyUCR account and select the "MyUCR ID's" tab. 

2. The date you would like to attend. It's best to have a first and second choice in case your first choice is unavailable.

Cost of Attendance

The cost for Highlander Orientation for Transfers is $40, plus any date change or cancellation fees.

Date Change Fee
A request to change a confirmed date must be received at least five business days in advance. If space on the new date allows for the change, a change fee of $25 will be added to the amount due.

Late Registration Fee
All registration requests received after August 1st will be assessed a $25 late registration fee.

Payment Method
All fees for Highlander Orientation for Transfers will be automatically deferred to your fall student billing statement. This forwards the student's charges and any related date change fees to the student's Statement of Account (which can be paid by credit card or check).

Session Dates

All sessions begin at 8 a.m. and continue to 5:30 p.m. Avoid scheduling your departure before 5:30 p.m. on the final day of your session. Otherwise you won't be able to register for classes.

Students trying to register for sessions that are full should contact the Highlander Orientation for Transfers office for registration assistance.

Cancellations and Refunds

• If you provide five business days notice before your assigned session date, you will be charged a $25 per-person cancellation fee and refunded any remaining amount after October 1.

• If you don't notify us of your cancellation at least five business days before your assigned session date, your payment will not be refunded.

• If you register for a Highlander Orientation for Transfers date and do not cancel or attend, you are still responsible for the cost of the program. Resources for the program are arranged in advance and paid for in anticipation of your attendance.

• If you register for Highlander Orientation for Transfers and you withdraw from UCR or your admission is rescinded, you are responsible for notifying our office that you will not be attending.

All inquiries related to bills and fees must be submitted before October 1.
